TUPAC AND THE OUTLAWZ HISTORY

Formerly known as 2pac. Tupac began career as a Roadie with Digital Underground premiering on the track entitled “Same Song.” His first album was “2pacalypse Now” which came out in 1991.The follow-up to that album was entitled “Strictly 4 my N.I.G.G.A.Z.”in ‘93. He was involved in many legal and criminal troubles including a rape charge in ‘94 just before his “Me Against the World” LP came out. And just before sentencing for that trial, he was shot in a NY recording studio. Out of jail nearly 8 months later, he signed with Death Row and one Mr. Suge Knight paid his bail. He then came out with his best work yet called “All Eyez on Me” which is now 7X Platinum. His next album “Makaveli: 7DT” was released just 2 weeks after his untimely death on Sep. 13th, 1996. It went close to 4X Platinum.Although after his death, as you know, his success has continued through Death Row as well as through his mother Afeni as Afeni’s Amaru Records released “R U Sill Down”, a collaberation of material from 91-94 which was very successful. Also, in 98, Death Row and Amaru released the over 5X Platinum “2pac’s Greatest Hits”, The Outlawz continue to strive for success in his name.

Kadafi was known as Yak when a member of a group called “The Plague.” This gruop had nearly 30 members including Fatal. Kadafi and Hussein Fatal were, along with Pac, the first origional members of the Outlawz. But before joining the Outlawz, Kadafi was a member of the group “Dramacydal” which included three other current Outlawz Kastro aka K-Dogg,EDI aka Big Mal, and Napoleon aka Mutah were all members of Dramacydal. On the night that Tupac Shakur was shot in Las Vegas, Kadafi was the only one reported out of Tupac’s thirty car entourage that could identify the shooters if necessary. Two months later he was shot in the head at point blank range in an apartment complex in New Jersey. Two teenagers have been arrested for the murder. Kadafi was one of the top three members of the Outlawz. The Outlawz recently signed to Rap-A-lot Records, based in Texas, and are releasing material from there now. Although Death Row does intend to continue with the release of the”Retribution” LP. It looks to us that Kadafi will appear on the Death Row album, but we aren’t sure about the albums being released on Rap-A-Lot.

Napoleon was origionally in the group called Dramacydal along with fellow Outlawz Kadafi,Kastro, and Edi. He then joined the Outlaw Immortalz and appeared on several tracks for Tupac’s “All Eyez on Me”, “Makaveli – 7DT” and also on several tracks yet to be released. Check out which songs Kastro as well as his fellow Outlaws appeared on in The Outlaw’s Discography. He is still awaiting the release of the Outlaw’z album “Retribution” The Outlawz recently signed to Rap-A-lot Records, based in Texas, and are releasing material from there now. Although Death Row does intend to continue with the release of the “Retribution” LP.

Kastro was first in the group entitled Dramacydal. This group appeared on tracks in Tupac’s 1994 release “Me Against the World.” And other than Kastro, the group contained these current Outlawz:E.D.I., Napolean, Kadafi, and Fatal.

Fatal was origionally a member of The Plague, a rap group that consisted of about 30 rappers which Tupac took a few rappers from to create Dramacydal and the Outlawz. He, along with Kadafi, were the first two members of the Outlawz. Fatal is also the only current Oultaw member to have released a solo album. The Outlawz recently signed to Rap-A-lot Records, based in Texas, and are releasing material from there now. Although Death Row does intend to continue with the release of the “Retribution” LP.

Edi was a member of the group Dramacydal that appeared on songs in Tupac’s Me Against the World Album along with Kastro,Khadafi, and Napoleon. He then was taken from that gruop to join the Outlawz and appear on several songs with his fellow members. The Outlawz recently signed to Rap-A-lot Records, based in Texas, and are releasing material from there now. Although Death Row does intend to continue with the release of the “Retribution” LP.

Mussolini first appeared in the scene of hip-hop in 1994, when he, along with fellow Outlaw Immortalz members Makaveli (Tupac) Komani (Mopreme), and also Rated R, and Machadoshis, formed the group Thug Life. They released one album as a group entitled “Thug Life: Volume One.” While Tupac went on to become a rap superstar. Syke dropped a single album that expectedly did not do very well on the charts. When he was approached about being a member of the group Outlaw Immortalz, he accepted. He appeared, along with other Outlaw members, on several tracks on the hit 2pac album “All Eyez on Me.” It has been rumored that Suge Knight did not want Syke in the group. That is all that has happened for Syke aka Mussolini according to my knowledge.

Also, like Mussolini, Komani is a former Thug Life member and became an Outlaw Immmortal, as, of course 2pac aka Makaveli is also. He has never, to my knowledge released a solo album. He, as Syke did, appeared on several tracks in the “All Eyez on Me” album as an Outlaw Immortal and it is also rumored that Suge Knight did not want Mussolini and him in the group. He is also 2pac’s Half-Brother. The Outlawz recently signed to Rap-A-lot Records, based in Texas, and are releasing material from there now.
