Getty Museum report

Getty Center is a place to experience and enjoy art in unique setting that features dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views. The Getty Center is surrounded yet slightly removed from the city, evoking both urbanity and peaceful contemplation. It is located at the very high peak of the mountain, which is perfect view of the surrounding area. The Getty center is over two-hill top ridge; stand inside the museum Entrance Hall s cylindrical space-which recall the soaring rotundas of many great building of the past.

Even thought the Getty center is privately owned but dedicated to the visual arts and the humanities and it has a lot more to offer to its visitors, than any other museum I ever visited though out my lifetime. The Getty provides opportunities for people to more fully understand, experience, value, and preserve the world’s artistic and cultural heritage.

Getty museum trip starts at the very bottom of the train station, which is built to carry visitors at the top Arrival plaza area, which is located surrounding the Green trees and area is made of Marble architecture. As we Enter into the Building the A shape of metal frame is built which show Welcome to visitors. The museum it self is separated into four different section which are North Pavilion, South Pavilion, East Pavilion and West Pavilion, which has its own type of collection of art and sculpture from the past history.

As walked in at first sight we spotted a North Pavilion, which is filled with marvelous exhibition of stain glass painting, which is done by artist called of D rer, and Holbein was the apprentice, which worked right by side of his master. D rer introduced to the medium the same vast spaciousness, sculptural modeling, and depth of expression that are found in his paintings and prints. Stained in Glass was a renaissance art form, although widely thought of medieval art, stain glass flourished during renaissance, especially in Germany and Switzerland. Most of the painting reveals information about Renaissance s painting era. They have accomplishments of Renaissance panel painting and printmaking, but they may not summon images of stained glass. Nevertheless, D rer, Holbein, and their southern German and Swiss contemporaries designed some of the most splendid works in the history of the medium. In the stain painting which were about Greek s religious symbols and God and kings. They are more like story telling pictures. Stain glass pictures has the values of the colors which shows true perspective of a color setting when light is appeared from the back of the portrait or landscape. It has Sculpture of Greek s gods which were made of bronze material, which are appearing to be like made with machines but they are hand made sculptures. In this pavilion they had stain glass painting, and on the second floor painting was from 1500-1600, and the painting were framed with wooden frames with golden cover on it. Few other painting on canvas and slate. In this building I like the painting of daily life scene of genre at (1509) the artist was Baccio Della Porta, its was painted in Italy. This picture depict the view of other sides and area and its main focal point is on straight on object rather than other natural view of the portrait.

The Renaissance artist s ability to humanize the diverse, and satisfy the natural. In the portrait artist is trying to get viewer s attention by having line design which leads to view to look at each picture from the one point of view to another perspective, and this picture of St. Joseph, mother and two kids stated main focus from the mother and then that invisible line starts to draw attention from the mother to left side child then child is view to another child. From all of the painting at special exhibition I liked the painting of ceramic from 1400-1600 abduction of Helen. Which was created by Francisco xanto Avelli. It was originated in Italy, and the median of this painting was Tin-glazed earth ware. In this picture the main focus is on the daughter of god is being abducted in ship.

South Pavilion is collection of home furniture of from the past, which unique design of its own kind, which are rare to find in the market. This building is contains most of the home furniture which shows how Furniture artist were more advance, and they used to be decorative minded people during that period of time. The work of art from 1770-1785 shows that neoclassic period of time, which is more into to architecture and furniture design than more into the paintings, then comes transitional style which relates to the live scale and proportional of ancient architecture. In this Building I like the most about a table, which was made of piece of various wood and put them together by glue, which is more impressive than any other furniture.

East pavilion is collection of French tapestry from 1690-1705, the development during the Rocco time. Dutch & Famish painting. 1600-1675. It has collection of abduntant its originated in Nether land, it has portrait of still life and painted in high degree of naturalism for delight of merchant class. It also has portrait of landscape and genre and scene of daily life.

West pavilion is the collection of the art of furniture and of old style Daybed 1932-1835, made by Flippo Pleagib, originally is the work of art from the Italy. The Daybed combines the elements of the various sources. And the design is appears to be from Egyptian style which very unique to all other furniture style of painting style of the tope fabric. Decorated chairs, Mirrors, Pottery, and sculpture, and the statue of the Fetus and the god of love, and the statue of the goddess Venus of the fertility, which represents the symbol of the fertility to young women. As we walked out of the West build we came across the garden, which is part of the work of art, as visitor is walked across it, the green bushes are planted in the center of the Garden.

Over all the Getty museum is a place to experience the visualizing the aspect of the correct meaning of the artist s point of view and learn how a art work can be story telling as the saying a A Picture is worth thousand word and its is really important when artist picks different type of setting or back ground, and this really show how a artist really feels about the painting, and by art we are able to decode the past of history of the civilization which existed in early years.
