It takes up most of the year

Everyday the same thing

Strapping on the sweat soaked pads

Running until your heart burst

All this so you can put on a uniform

On a Friday night,

And run out into a packed stadium

But we together are a rare breed of people

Any one can put on the pads

But to stand fast and work through good and bad

Is all part

A rare breed, is what I am part of
