I have a friend

I used to know

who had a playground

where we would go

The times we had

are fresh in my mind

but they are from another time

So carefree were we and so much fun did we have.

Happiness fills my heart and but makes me sad

because

Now there’s no more playgrounds left for me

I guess that’s what I would expect you see

for now I’m grown and life is full

but no time for playgrounds or to be

carefree and have fun.
