Глагол to be переводится словами «быть, находиться, являться, заключаться, состоять, существовать» и имеет следующие формы (спряжение):

Настоящее Present	I am a student. He (she, it) is a student. We (you, they) are students.	Am I...? Is he (she, it)...? Are we (you, they)...?	Yes, I am. Yes, he (she, it) is. Yes, we (you, they) are.	No, I am not. No, he (she, it) is not. No, we (you, they) are not.
Прошедшее Past	I (he, she, it) was a student. We (you, they) were students.	Was I (he, she, it)...? Were we (you, they)...?	Yes, I (he, she, it) was. Yes, we (you, they) were.	No, I (he, she, it) was not. No, we (you, they) were not.
