Местоимения much, little, many, few употребляются с определенными словами very, too, so, as, how:

He has so muchwork to do. У него так много работы.

I like this film very much. Мне очень нравится этот фильм.

There are veryfew trees in this street. На этой улице очень мало деревьев.

I have toomuch work to do today. У меня сегодня слишком много работы.

It’s toolittle information for me. Для меня слишком мало информации.

В утвердительных предложениях вместо much употребляются a lot (of), lots (of), plenty (of), a good deal (of), a great deal (of):

He does a great dealof work. Он делает много работы.

She has got plentyof time. У нее много времени.

Вместо местоимения many употребляются a lot (of), lots (of), plenty (of), a great many, a good many:

I have a lot of friends. У меня много друзей.

Lots of people visit the museum. Множество людей посещает этот музей.

Вместо местоимений little и few употребляются not much, not many:

There is not much food in the refrigerator.

В холодильнике мало еды.

There are not many interesting books on the shelf.

На полке не много интересных книг.
